WWE has demonstrated that while they're overall a family friendly brand, they're willing to do things specifically to cater to their adult fans, with the events at the nightclub and the Hinchcliffe roast. It makes sense that they should produce gravure videos with the girls on the roster.
Lots of fans were disappointed that The Rock didn’t appear at WrestleMania 41, especially since Travis Scott played a role in helping John Cena win the Undisputed WWE Title. This led to a lot of criticism aimed at The Rock for no-showing WrestleMania 41, but now Ryback has stepped in to defend him.
The Rock responded to Dave LaGreca, who accused him of throwing Triple H under the bus for not showing up at WrestleMania 41 and saying he would have handled the main event differently. The Rock explained that wrestling has always been scripted, with everything planned out, from the matches to the interviews. The Rock invited Dave to join him, Cody Rhodes, John Cena, and others in their creative meetings to understand how it all works. He told Dave to stop complaining and just enjoy the show.
>“Hi Dave, the business is a complete work. Always has been, always will be. Every aspect of it. Every match. Every interview.
>Please join me, Cody, Cena, Brian and the rest of us for our creative discussions so you can expand your perspective. Until then, stop ranting, it’s not healthy my friend. Enjoy the show.
>Ps, tell Bubba I have Grand Marnier and hush puppies for all of us.”
Former WWE Superstar Ryback took to Twitter and defended The Final Boss, saying that if you’re truly a fan, you can enjoy wrestling without overreacting to every outcome. He pointed out that when people have no goals or purpose, entertainment becomes their identity, and that’s when the hate starts.
Ryback also said that toxic hosts are spreading this negative mindset to a new generation and emphasized that the issue isn’t wrestling, it’s the mindset of those who spread hate.
>“If you’re truly a fan, you can enjoy wrestling without losing your mind over every outcome. But when you’ve got no purpose, no goals—entertainment becomes your identity. That’s when the hate kicks in. And now? Toxic hosts are spreading that same broken mindset to a new generation. It’s not wrestling. It’s you.”
The Rock explained that he missed WrestleMania 41 since he wanted John Cena to have all the attention after winning his 17th World Championship, but a lot of people really didn’t buy his explanation at all.
The debate over The Rock’s comments brings attention to a bigger issue in the wrestling community: the way fans react to scripted outcomes. The Big Guy made it clear actual fans don’t go crazy over predetermined outcomes, so we’ll have to see if people will agree with what he had to say.
