Pepsi has unveiled its Super Bowl LX campaign, “The Choice,” featuring a polar bear who chooses Pepsi Zero Sugar over Coke Zero Sugar in a blind taste test.
The Pepsi Challenge campaign was launched in 1975 and is making a comeback for taste testers of the zero-sugar products. In a news release by PepsiCo Beverages North America, they describe that the commercial “isn’t just Pepsi, ‘poking the bear’ – it’s a defining moment that brings the brand’s proven taste superiority to center stage.”
“For decades, Pepsi has embraced being the challenger cola brand, yet we keep proving we’re #1 where it matters most: taste,” said Gustavo Reyna, Vice President of Marketing, Pepsi. “Cola drinkers care about taste, but when they choose anything other than Pepsi, they leave taste on the table. With Taika adding his unmistakable touch to the spot, we’re on a mission – alongside our newest and furriest fan – to showcase the universal human truth that Pepsi tastes better.”

This week, a ski tourist the Koktokay Township of Fuyun County within China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region survived a violent encounter with the illusive snow leopard, one the rarest big cats in the world.

The tourist (name withheld) was returning to her hotel after skiing when she spotted the leopard, approaching within 3 meters to take a selfie with it. Moments after she took the selfie, she was immediately pounced and mauled. Bystanders in the area were able to scare off the leopard, and the woman was taken to the hospital with multiple severe injuries to her face and head. The leopard was later captured and relocated to a wildlife rescue center, and the tourist is reportedly in stable condition with no life-threatening injuries.

Local authorities had previously issued warnings about snow leopard sightings in the area due to the animals occasionally descending to lower elevations for food. While cases of snow leopard attacks are extremely rare, there are no documented fatalities.
