From the Among Us newsletter, a new update, v18.0.0 announces a new role known as the Judge for crewmates.

Time to overrule your next meeting
ALL RISE!
A new Crewmate role arrives as part of v18.0.0 - Judge.
Here's what you need to know about the update:
- Overrule Ability: Choose a Crewmate to eject no matter who's been voted for. Choose wisely - if they aren't the Impostor you get ejected instead! Complete tasks to enable your ability during meetings.
- Use the new Match Info Guide located next to the settings icon to check the players, roles, and settings that
have been chosen for the game.
- We balanced the Detective role by adding a cooldown to their Interrogate ability after an Emergency Meeting ends.
