Today, human remains were discovered in an abandoned Tesla registered to popular indie artist David Anthony Burke (otherwise known by his stage name D4vd) at an impound lot in Los Angeles. After the discovery, police identified the body as 15 year old Celeste Rivas, who was reported missing on April 5th, 2024 when she was 13.
According to TMZ, D4vd has the same finger tattoo that was found on the body of Rivas, and that her mother knew that she had an online boyfriend named David. Furthermore, the two undeniably had a relationship that began in 2022 via D4vd's fan 'cord server when he was 17 and she was 11.
The investigation is ongoing, and charges have not been pressed against D4vd at the moment. However, multiple sponsors such as Crocs and Hollister Co. have already taken down promotional material containing his image, and D4vd's concert in Seattle today was cancelled last-minute.
