What seperates an unthinking rock from a sentient animal to a sapient human? A dog is sentient, but it cannot think about thinking. A computer can be made to be many times more complex than the mind of a human yet it isnt actually smart, even with independent sensors. The human mind is an incredibly complex array designed to host a consciousness in the material world. Like how the nervous system runs the body while being simultaneously part of the whole but seperate. We cannot survive outside this form. The material is the only thing perceiveable only because we have evolved and adapted tp survive in the material and nothing else. We cannot see electricity nor infrared let alone higher planes. However certain things can make us just sensetive enough to get a shallow peek into what is above us. Mental illnesses produce images of faces and voices, animals and object, the pattern recognition and material-perceiving literal mind, which i will refer to as the mind, calling the conciousness the soul. But certain drugs and events produce images of vast planes and beings, simultaneously inconceivable and inconceptuable, but perfectly ordered and with sense, higher beings and spiritualisim. And now that I know, certain people know I know.
