If you want to spend less time staring at your phone, leave it at home when you go out. Simple as. Or, if you need it for maps or want to listen to music, use some basic self restraint and don't open up chinktok and scroll for 2 hours. If you're a student, you want a single, modern laptop that isn't so fucking ancient it would get AIDS from connecting to public wifi and can load your online lesson materials, and a phone. A portable console isn't going to un-rot your brain, its entertainment. If you want to play games, sure, get one, but you're not going to be some galaxy brained genius because you play bing bing wahoo on the bus instead of scrolling on your phone.
The whole dumbphone trend is immensely retarded. It really isn't that hard to not stare at your phone when you're outside. Throw it in your bag instead of keeping it in your pocket and you won't get tempted as often anyway.
