One thread to rule all vocaloid/UTAU threads scattered over the site. Post your autism itt >What is vocaloid? Vocaloid is a singing voice synthesizer software product. The software enables users to synthesize "singing" by typing in lyrics and melody and also "speech" by typing in the script of the required words. It uses synthesizing technology with specially recorded vocals of voice actors or singers. >What is UTAU? UTAU is a freeware musical voice synthesis software, that allows you to create more robotic-sounding voices compared to Vocaloid. >captain gem's favorite thread
Use this thread to recommend gems, anime, manga, light novels, VNs, etc. I will start: I like Legendary Gambler Tetsuya. It's a mahjong shonen set in post-war Japan; in each episode the MC meets a new mahjong master with a cheating technique, and he has to figure out how to outcheat them. I think it has a better pacing than Akagi, although its not as intense. It's fun even if you aren't familiar with mahjong, but it's even better if you know how it's played. They never did a second season; you will either have to read the manga or learn moon runes and play the ps2 game to get the whole story.
