Steel Ball Run was already part of a 20 year long running manga, so it's not just "several retards" shilling it, it has a basis and fanbase.

(Diego didn't gain the world, he died under a train, AU diego already had the world). Also, the world is important to understanding the character of diego. In the earlier parts of SBR, diego has a strive to be the greatest, and is marketed as the main villain, (potentially intended to be before Araki re-planned the story when transitioning to UJ). Even though his character ended when he was killed under the train by Valentine, that strive to become number one was still explored by Araki with AU diego. Diego himself had a humanity and was willing to work together with other racers such as Hot Pants to defeat Valentine, even if it would potentially cost him the victory, he did it for his own sake. Valentine's defeat wouldn't work at the end of the story, the race still has to finish off and Johnny winning the race doesn't make sense with his character, learning that the journey is more important than the finish. Johnny had to have someone to beat him in the race, and pocoloco would've been a shitty final villain. AU Diego fills that role with a stand ability that ACT-4 can't beat. AU Diego was never meant to be a deep or complex character, he mirrors the character of part 3 Dio who seeks victory above all else, giving up his humanity.

Jojo's doesn't have an insane amount of plot twists, the pacing is fine for the whole story. If the pacing was dogshit, we would have 20 chapters dedicated to random bullshit in stage 3, but the story focuses on what's important like fights and dialogue. If you have the attention span of a nigger chimpanzee, then maybe you wouldn't be able to enjoy the well crafted story. But comparing SBR pacing to some shit like the SDC anime is night and day. Everything that's actually included in SBR matters, it just takes time for a story to develop (ev&oe the manga is only 95 chapters so it's not long anyways). Even then, SBR is better paced than jojolion which has 110 chapters and a pretty slow start. Phantom Blood is short for a reason, it doesn't need to go in depth on these characters. SBR actually makes every character memorable, which is why it needs to set up the story with some early fights, otherwise it would be shallow and shit.

Better Jojo parts says who? You? Steel Ball Run was a peak of Araki's storytelling and art that most people think is the best part. It has extremely memorable characters and a deep and compelling villain. Even if you personally dislike it because you are a brown nigger, it doesn't discredit the fact that most people agree that Araki wrote an extremely compelling and beautiful story.
