Why do goblins orchestrate the plot of your dreams and nightmares and then get mad when you "go off-script" as if you're some kind of actor playing a role for the goblin's entertainment in some kind of movie??? (ev&doe you were never even granted the script for the dream-movie in the first place)

Why do they do this? What motivates the dream-goblins?
