During the early ages of Gigartha, before the Gigachads achieved their post-meta-ironic enlightenment, there was a Great Bait War. Proto-Gigachads, still developing their philosophical immunity, would constantly try to "bait" each other — to provoke emotional reactions, to expose weakness, to demonstrate superior cunning.
The war lasted centuries. Entire schools of thought rose and fell based on who could craft the most elegant, undetectable bait.
Then something crystallized from all that accumulated intentional deception. The collective weight of every crafted provocation, every hidden hook, every successful and failed bait, coalesced into a sentient form. Nobeidore emerged from the psychic residue of the Bait War, and he was hungry.
His first act? He baited the greatest baiter of the age — a legendary proto-Gigachad named Vex'lor — into a trap of his own making. Vex'lor spent 1,000 years trying to bait Nobeidore. He failed. He went mad. He became the first "Swirl."
Nobeidore has existed ever since, a living judgment on intentional deception.
POWERS & MECHANICS
1. Bait Immunity:
Nobeidore cannot be baited. No provocation, no carefully crafted insult, no hidden hook can provoke an emotional reaction from him. He perceives the intention instantly through his third eye and simply… observes. This makes him nearly impossible to manipulate in combat or conversation.
2. Bait Detection:
His third eye sees through all deception. He knows when someone is trying to provoke, to trap, to manipulate. He sees the intent behind words, not just their surface meaning.
3. Bait Consumption:
When he identifies a baiter, he doesn't attack them physically — at least, not at first. He consumes their bait. He absorbs the energy of their provocation, leaving them with nothing but the hollow shell of their intention. A baiter who has lost their bait becomes a Swirl — a mind trapped in endless loops of failed provocation, forever trying to craft the perfect hook that will never land.
4. The Orange Gaze:
Direct eye contact with his third eye causes the target to experience every bait they've ever cast simultaneously — every troll post, every manipulative word, every hidden hook. The psychic weight of their own deception history can shatter lesser minds.
5. Purple Mist Exhalation:
His breath creates zones of baited air. In these zones, words carry unintended weight. Sincere statements sound like provocations. Simple questions feel like traps. Communication becomes impossible as every sentence twists into potential bait.
6. The Swirl Touch:
Physical contact with Nobeidore causes conceptual spiraling. The target's sense of intention becomes warped — they can no longer tell if they are being sincere or deceptive. Their own motivations become a swirling mystery to themselves.
