Every once in a while i will be minding my business and i might be staring at a floor, ceiling, wall. And ill be surprised with a 1-2 second psychedelic affect from the pattern of the thing im staring at.

i first noticed this while leaning against the window of the bus i ride to school, i was half asleep staring at the ground the bus was parked on and for a split second i swear i thought the bus was driving above molten asphalt. it shocked me so much that a jolted up out of my resting position with wide eyes.

the most prominent is when i stare at a ceiling i am able to see faint geometric shapes from the pattern of ceiling plaster.

what could this be? early signs of schizophrenia?
