That's actually why it's worse than 2016. They force you into them to get ammo constantly. It's terrible game design by being forcing you to play a certain way. Chances are many of the people who say Halo 2 on Legendary is bad (it is) also defend Eternal, despite both of them being very similar by forcing certain specific, repetitive playstyles.

It’s basically just a more sterile, high-tech version of Doom 3’s base from what I remember, not that I mind that. I never played Eternal because I thought it seemed ridiculous as a sequel to 2016 with the gay parkour, Indian sigma edit third person cutscenes, and nostalgiaslop green-haired zombies
