>>73798Wow. I used to listen to this and his 1995 mixtape all of the time. Best Halloween songs of all time right next to Thriller. Want to hear something creepier? It is said that rock-pop singer Umyum "Onion" Sandiego, who disapeared after her first song for the group "Red Hot Chibi Peppers," was caused by a producer for Gaster. It is said that a local monster simply named by authorities as Norman, was brought up onto the scene after investigations in his stand revealed traces of Umyum's corpse, which accumulated into the police finding Umyum's corpse, sailor outfit and all, found stuck on a meat hook with her torso and hair/tenticles cut off. Norm was arrested and brought into trial. In said trial, he has proclaimed himself to being a producer for Gaster, before going on an insane tangent about how much he " loves the books in the library" and to "don't wait" before saying "Wait…don't!" Because of this, he was unfit for trial, taken into a mental institution and was released 15 days later. Gaster has neither confirmed nor denied this, and Norman, as part to conspiracy theorists, was nicknamed "The Hometown Butcher." I hope this isn't true because dang, that would ruin the song for me. I remember when her single dropped. Despite all other praise for the band's one hit wonder, Umyum was bullied by detractors for her short-term memory loss, her weight, and her weird appearence/behavior, especially her smile. She would often have bodyguards to protect her, incase of anyone hurting her. Yet even then, Umyum still had a smile on her face, which made me feel even worse for her, especially since there were reports of her violently sobbing after shows, calling herself "disgusting" and that she would want to "go away with her parents to her mother's house in Japan and never show her face to the world again y'hear [*something she liked saying that made her sound "western.]". I never found her ugly at all. In fact, she looked adorable, especially for someone who was "morbidly" overweight at the time. All of that harassment just to get murdered and cooked alive. Worst of all, her corpse was served to many different people in the form of Takoyaki, meaning all of those people were eating the corpse of a 17 year old popstar. It was even right when she was scheduled to release her second single, an unreleased track from December "Dess" Holiday rumored to be given to Gaster at one point before she disapeared named "Song of the Sea." That poor girl should have never went through anything like she did. Eventually, Song of the Sea was used and remade in Dess's "post-humous" Album "DELTARUNE" for her band Blood Crushers as a slow instumental in Side B track 8. While this version is more well-known and released to the public, Umyum's version, however, was never released to the public out of respect for her death. The song would have been more upbeat "Synth-Rock" Pop, compared to the slowness of Dess's version. A day after the arrest of Norm, the town of hometown, the town where Umyum was murdered in, had publically announced that any and all forms of Takoyaki or octopus related foods were to be banned in any future festivals going foreward. This was especially noted when anyone who attempted to bypass the law by sneaking in and eating takoyaki and/or any attempt in bringing takoyaki back into the festivals were either found dead or had to be hospitalized due to severe food poisoning. Legend has it that the food poisonings that happened were in part of Umyum's ghost cursing the Takoyaki, making it poisonous for anyone to eat. This theory became known as the Curse of Umyum/The Onion curse.
Besides that, At least Umyum was given tribute. I remember her twin sister, named Onion-San by her fans, became the new lead singer for Chibi peppers and is still alive today. I hope Umyum is at peace with God and His Son Jesus in Heaven.
