Early MMOs back when running a server actually had costs generally respected your time. It wasn't some Zoomer Brainrot media where you were constantly fed dopamine whilst being asked if you'd like gooner skin number 50067 for just $19.99 + tax

Getting gear usually required finding a group and co-operating with other people who actually played the game. The grind was about the experience and not reaching the end goal…

Nothing will ever come close to playing Final Fantasy 11 in its golden years of the early 2000's, you could try HorizonXI but it's quite dated and been around for years so everybody has already done everything, and just isn't the same… 14 is and has always been trash.
