At the time it was poor mans java, I remember being like 2 updates ahead on java than friends on console. If you like 1.13 its not a bad way to play it though, and anything "special" about it is just that it isn't jeet code on consoles like bedrock is

honestly I don't know why they insisted on full parity at that point, they could have added the less demanding features of 1.13 and kept the stuff that would drop the frame rate out. They could have ported 1.14 villages without a problem too but mojang is a greedy lazy nigger
