The games have had female leads since the very first game.
They've been raisin since RE7.

I haven't played a single RE game since the original trilogy where it initially peaked. 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 all looked like slop. I'm sure this will be no different.

I only enjoyed RE5 on PC when it came out and RE3 Remake. I prefer action/horror, not surivival horror. I do enjoy the storyline and character universe.
I am like 20% through RE7 and there are too many puzzles.
For RE4 Original, I am almost finished.

Depends what you mean by "fun."
I prefect action/horror a la RE5 and RE6 and RE4 Original is more my preference.
Survival horror with loads of puzzles and needing to google how to solve it every 10 minutes is boring and gay.
