On xbox one you can play 360 games with a good framerate and x360 games are Aryan play theese:
Gears of War 1 2 3 (the rest are shit) <- this the bestest game
Ninja Gaiden Black
Ninja Gaiden 2
Halo Ce 2 3 Reach Odst

wii u can play all games from NES - > SNES - > N64 - > Gamecube - > Wii - > Wii u (and zelda botw)

and it plays other things like emulators

if you want to play older games you can get one of those cheap asian consoles with emulators or just emulate games on your phono

If you dont want to pirate or whatever, you can probablg find a used ps4 or xbox one. No free online doebeit and games/controllers will still come with a price.

Ps3 is a good choice for an older console. Online is free and a few games still have it like some COD titles. Games, at least in the UK, are dirt cheap and you can get most major titles for under £10.

The wii is also dirt cheap but has unconventional games. It can emulate up to n64, and is compatible with gamecube if you want that too.

Depending on the price and specs, you can get something that runs games up to the Gamecube or up to the PS1. The latter is way cheaper obviously, but you may not like the selection of old games. The prices range from 50-100 dollars.

old gaming laptops can be hit or miss if u can find good ones used for a nice 200 maybe ones with broken screen so u just need shitty monitor and some other stuff to have it working
try to get a used xbox series s since price of those is very random (for europe)
or some chinese emulator handheld
