but obtainium+grapheneos works fine for me for 4 years minimum

Nothingburger if you use a custom ROM which if you don't, you are a goy. Plus this is good because it creates demand for such things. If they lock the bootloader next then open hardware phones will get demand

Open hardware phones and custom ROMs won't get any substantial demand from this either, as the vast majority of Android users simply won't care enough to switch over.
