Riddle me this, schizos. If Intel ME and AMD PSP defeats privacy entirely, then why do federal agents who are trying to track down a criminal doesn't have a super easy time doing just that. Shouldn't it just make it easy for feds to identify and track someone instantly?

It would ruin their optics if they directly told the world they caught a criminal using a hardware backdoor, also the management engine is probably not powerful enough to log every single activity on the computer, but it is possible such backdoor has helped them subtly before

They think that there are no alternatives to any of the big websites and services, so they give up instantly. If you suggest anything, they'll either be confused, or mock you for using a service that doesn't spy on you.

i think its reasonable to be concerned about proprietary firmware in your systems regardless of it's capablity of being used as a remote or physical backdoor

Backdoor would probably only be used against serious threats to the state (so foreign agents and terrorists)
If the backdoor was easy to use then it would present a significant security problem to every piece of infrastructure in the US, as anyone with access to that backdoor would be able to "hack" anything at will.
