if you're slightly competent with C dwm, or at least know how to compile, and patch. If you don't want to patch anything, dusk is DWM but with a bunch of stuff added into it. It still uses a static config that you change then rebuild. Otherwise hyprland is what all the based linux chuds are ricing now days. You can do pretty much anything imaginable with it and it recently moved over to a lua config file format so if you're ok with lua it should be about a versatile as awesomewm was. The old config format does still work also if you don't want to deal with lua.
