no, I did mean precludes. A capitalist system, as proposed by anyone besides as a strawman by socialists, whoever you pick, John Smith or whoever, precludes oligopolies. That's why you have cartel busting, monopoly busting etc. Otherwise, what are you describing? Market economies? In that case, "capitalism" is likely older than agriculture and part of human nature, whenever it ventures outside of communal structures, not a system.

If a system is a real propositional model, then real structures can fail to qualify as being it. If instead it's everything that you happen not to like, then it's not a real -ism and there's nobody backing it. Current US system, by the way, is explicitly stated a mixed one, not capitalistic. So maybe the corruption's from the socialistic side of the family? lol lmao
