SystemD is more performant while being less UNIX, much in the same way that BSDs sockets were faster then UNIX while being less UNIX-minded, or the same way that a windows machine with a NVidia GPU can *technically* do some things better then a dell optiplex in a very contrived fashion, whereas barebones UNIX-y system design looks the same and works the same everywhere AS ITS PRIORITY, even if it *could* be technically faster
