FL Studio has the best UI in my opinion easy to use not at first but you get better

All you do is you get a parametric equalizer, no over compression you don't need a multiband compressor, you don't have to put all those effects on your sounds your channels.

If you don't have a bass guitar, one crazy thing they do is low pass filtering, where you cut out the mid and treble turn up the low and you can actually filter the Baseline out of there.

Back when I didn't play instruments that's how I would get these different sounds I would find little pieces of sound bites and rearranged them and make different synths out of it.

One thing I would do, I would listen to the tracks I made through a computer speaker, and the car speaker, and I'm trying to figure out how to balance the different track frequencies out so each track sounds they like on the same level it's not too loud and not too low

Basically you have to understand mixing and mastering, how the frequencies on The Equalizer you don't want them to be too loud, like they bleed into other parts of the tracks, there's something called the loudness war, that plagues modern recordings because of overcompression.

Most of the stuff I do is literally improvised it's not written down it's not thought about, I listen to what the other guys play and what their voice is and I try to play around that and have my own voice.
