I was not meant to be born, and that is evidenced by the fact that both my parents were 18 when my mom gave birth to me. They ended up divorcing years later. I definitely didn’t grow up impoverished or malnourished or anything, but they didn’t seem to take into account that I wouldn’t be a baby/child for the rest of my life. Neither of them gave me a roadmap on what it is that I should do with my life. They didn’t ever push me to go to college or get a career. They didn’t ever show me how to drive (I eventually just learned to do it on my own). They never pushed me to succeed. In high school, I was left to my own devices. All of my classmates had a semblance of an idea for what they wanted to do when they graduated, but I had nothing. 4 years later, I’m still doing nothing with my life. Not even a crappy retail or fast food job. It just feels bad knowing that everyone else had mature, non-retarded, supportive parents who actually knew what they were doing while I just got unlucky, I guess. I mean, what can I even do? I can’t get back all those wasted years of my life.
