I've been speaking to someone in another country online for a little while and we were making plans to meet irl (me going to their country), but for snca personal reasons we've cut contact. I've told my parents about that, but lied and said I was going with two friends rather than meeting someone there, so now I'm torn between just telling them the truth, or lying and saying that me and those two friends just changed plans to go somewhere in our country for the weekend and just go there by myself.
