I would fully consider my little brother a slave. At a young age (7), he was diagnosed with (((ADHD))) and (((dyslexia))). Shortly after, he was put on (((medications))) for his conditions. I wish I could go back in time and convinced my parents not to put him on them because I think they really messed him up. He gets shit grades, dropped out of every single extracurricular he once did, hangs out with ghetto niggaz and wiggers, plays video games and scrolls with all of his free time, is a complete slob, buys shitty clothes and other junk he sees on tiktok, and treats our family like shit. I sometimes think that if I was not self motivated to do things that would help me succeed in the future, I would be just like him. But my parents, oh my gosh my parents. They are fully fucking complicit and enable him like hell. One thing I am very grateful for is that they did not allow me to have social media (except for youtube, and that already fucked with me enough), but when my brother was 13 or 14 they let him have social media with some kind of "contract" or whatever EVEN THOUGH he has not upheld it whatsoever and they never followed up on it. His behavior has become considerably worse the more he has been exposed to social media and I cannot wrap my mind around why my parents are so eager to let him continue his usage of it because they are aware of this degradation as well. They constantly make excuses for him and just try to ignore the problem in hopes that he will get better as time goes on. BUT I KNOW that your behavior in your teenage years HEAVILY impact how you behave as an adult. I can just imagine him becoming an addict or worse and overdosing and dying prematurely. I say all of this because I'm very worried for him. Anyways, this goes into my greater point about how social media is a cancer on the world and in any society that actually deserves to exist would never allow it. It's a tool that demons use to feed off of you and you can never escape it. I have watched my brother several times just stare at his phone and scroll over and over and over and over without stopping to watch the video for more than five seconds. Its, like I said in the title, DISTURBING. It's so mechanic and unconscious and the science behind it is predatory. I am a giant hypocrite for writing this because I watch youtube shorts sometimes and I can feel it depleting on myself whenever I use it for too long, EVEN THOUGH I watch cooking content or other "normal" videos and not the actual mind control videos that exist on instagram and tiktok. I just feel so fucking cynical and disconnected from people my age . Whenever I try to interact with them, I focus on the differences between us and how unrelatable they are to me and how I must be to them. I wish none of this ever happened, I wish I could be an amish person and bake all day. Thank you for reading my incoherent rant
