Are they trying to ruin everyone else's day so they themselves feel better? Do they think that they're actually being funny? Maybe they are serious to some extent?
I imagine the average ragebaiter as a socially regressed effeminate man or a third worlder, because purposefully making others upset and deriving pleasure from other people's anger only appeals to that caste of society, the one that is already miserable themselves due to physical or mental deficiencies and is too weak to improve their own circumstances, instead resorting to destroying someone else's tower of peace instead of building their own.
I refuse to believe someone who genuinely loves themselves would enjoy such activities.
