Nicolas Maduro and his wife deny torture charges as 'false accusations'

Maduro and his wife pleaded not guilty in court to new charges that they led a state sponsored repression campaign that tortured his victims. Maduro allegedly oversaw a torture system under which victims were beaten, and given electric shocks. He is accused of personally reccomending torture methods, receiving updates on specific victims' treatment, and threatening to kill a prisoner's family member as a form of psychological torture.
