East Slavs are Rus, and Rus ⟺ Russia. Therefore all East Slavs are Russian, the two words are identical. Ukraine was invented by the Lithuanian Horde (so-called "Grand Duchy of Lithuania") to justify stealing Russian land. Euromaidan claimed it was about "being European", but the simple fact is that Russia is European, but Ukraine is not, because it descends from the Asiatic Lithuanian Horde which descended from the Golden Horde, while Russia was always European since Peter the Great. The simple fact is, that Russia is the only "European" country in Eastern Europe, everything else, ironically, the countries to the West of Russia, are more Asiatic than European.

Ukraine and Belarus are appendages of Russia, they aren't separate or independent identities. Russia is a single nation descended from Rus, and it is a Slavic and European civilisation, unlike the Asiatic Lithuanian Horde or other Baltic tribes which were planted there by Mongol invaders.

Saying that Kiev is "Ukrainian" is like saying that Ancient Egypt is the same as Arab Egypt. Kiev is Russian. Just because Arab Egypt is on top of the land that was once Ancient, Hellenistic Egypt, does not mean that it is the same. Just like how Ukraine, which is an invention by Lenin and Austrian and Polish occupation authorities, just because it is on top of what is now Kiev, does not mean they are identical, but Russia is Kiev.
