Apps like tiktok and twitter encourage users to say and do more and more ridiculous and embarrassing things since the algorithm rewards attention grabbing, shocking and trashy content to gain clicks. Look up deadly tiktok challenges to see what I mean. People will literally risk their lives for a few more likes on a 30 second clip, it's dumb I know, but not exclusive to men or women. Keep in mind that there are private accounts people use for family members/friends so the numbers on users of an app might not be so honest since they're only viewed by a select group of people.
