Don't try to make it sound like it's unreasonable to want the things you spend your finite time on to be good, most anime (like most TV, comics, and books) are straight sewage. Fanservice is most often just a crutch added to try and keep the 13 year old jap kids entertained. I don't care about it since it doesn't change whether or not the rest of the show is good or bad, to be clear, but it's pretty worthless content and it's telling that there are a lot of soy-ish anime fans that act like its the end of the world if panty shots get censored.
