umineko definitely has my favorite ost out of anything so many tracks and all off them are amazing in their own right i was listening to ridicule again and its just insane how good this ost is in story telling i can pretty much visualize how this ost wanted to portray the story which sounds pretty dumb but i cant get directly into without spoiling umineko ill refrain therefore

when I first opened tsukihime remake i had the main theme play for a long while its amazing but the original will always such a special essence its probably the best main theme from anything i read btw which ost for tsukihime do you guys prefer the og or tsuki bako? Umineko's OST is absolutely insane. You can tell Ryukishi had the entire Japanese indie sphere wanting to make music for him after Higurashi. The soundtrack is very diverse and ranges from more melancholic and heartfelt pieces to something you'd expect from a rave instead of a murder mystery and it somehow all fits in their respective scenes. They stand pretty well on their own and the context only elevates the impact. It almost makes me want to read the entire VN again after relistening to some of the pieces.

absolutely true umineko has the best ost out of anything I’ve experienced great standalone songs but still so fucking good at setting atmosphere of making you feel so many emotions so tracks also tingle my brain they have alot of fun and interesting things built into them some even are like a story ig? where it can start of somewhat sad but then it picks up pace as if getting back up to then really getting hype its crazy that one track can do a whole thing like that i also find it cool that there are still some samples in songs we dont know where they are from yet and everything you said is so true big shout outs to dai who is behind most of the tracks and some of the best ones in higurashi also ep7 soundtrack is so goddamn amazing and helps makes the episode stand out so much

Higurashi is also pretty good but not quite the level of Umineko. dai definitely carried a lot of it, some of the early chapters only had royalty free music.
